About This Option
A hinged wardrobe opens the full width of each section at once, which makes it the most practical system when you need to see and reach everything at a glance. Because shutters are individual, section widths can be tuned to their contents - a 450mm drawer bank beside a 900mm double-hang section - instead of being divided into equal sliding panels. Hardware does the real work: soft-close hinges are specified to the shutter weight with the correct opening angle so doors clear adjacent walls and drawer fronts. You need roughly 600mm of clear space in front for comfortable opening, so bed and walkway positions are checked before the layout is finalised. Finishes span laminate, membrane, acrylic, PU and veneer, and repairs stay simple because a single damaged shutter can be replaced without touching the rest of the unit.
