Dimmable and app-controlled lighting scenes — mood presets for daily routines and entertaining.
Smart lighting replaces individual switch operation with scenes, so a single command sets several circuits to preset levels: a bright morning setting, a dim evening scene, a low night path light. The decision made early is architecture rather than brand. Retrofit smart bulbs are inexpensive and need no wiring change, but each bulb is controlled separately and the wall switch has to stay on. A smart switch or dimmer module system controls your existing fixtures from both the wall and an app, which is what most households prefer. Wi-Fi devices are simplest for a handful of points, while Zigbee or a wired system suits whole-home control with better reliability. Neutral wire availability at each switch point is planned during electrical work, because most modules need it and adding it later means rewiring. Scenes, schedules and voice assistant integration are configured at handover, and manual switching is always retained so the house still works when the network is down.
