About This Option

A gypsum false ceiling is built from gypsum boards screwed onto a galvanised iron framework suspended from the slab, then jointed, taped and finished so the surface reads as one continuous plane. It is the standard choice for living rooms and bedrooms because the boards stay dimensionally stable, take paint cleanly, and hold the crisp straight profiles and cove pockets that hand-worked plaster struggles to keep sharp. The framework determines how long it lasts: we use GI channels at correct spacing with proper slab anchoring rather than wooden battens, which prevents sagging and removes any termite risk. Electrical points, AC ducting and speaker wiring are coordinated before boarding, with access provision left wherever future service may be needed. Gypsum is a dry system, so site mess and drying time are much lower than POP, but it is not suitable for permanently damp areas.
