About This Option

A Veneer Kitchen uses a thin slice of natural timber bonded to a plywood or MDF base and sealed with a PU or melamine top coat, so every shutter carries real grain rather than a printed pattern. Because veneer is natural, we book-match or run-match sheets across adjacent shutters so the grain flows continuously along a cabinet run, which is the detail that separates a veneer kitchen from a woodgrain laminate one. You select species, stain and sheen from physical samples, and the protective top coat controls gloss while sealing against moisture. Veneer is best used on tall units, island fronts and wall panelling, often paired with laminate or acrylic in the wet zone for practicality. It suits homeowners who want warmth and a material that ages with character instead of staying uniformly new.
