About This Option

A modern TV unit relies on horizontal proportion, handleless shutters and a restrained material palette to keep the media wall quiet. Shutters open on push-to-open hardware or routed finger grooves so no handle interrupts the line, and the composition is usually asymmetric - a long low console offset by one tall element - rather than symmetrically centred. Materials are limited to two or three: a matte laminate or PU body, a woodgrain or fluted accent, and a slim metal or stone edge. Reveals are held consistent at a 3mm to 5mm shadow gap, because in a plain design any variation in the gaps is the first thing the eye catches. Lighting is used sparingly, typically a single grazing strip along the panel rather than several highlights. It suits contemporary flats and open-plan living rooms where the TV wall should support the room rather than dominate it.
